Minnesota Department of Health residential lead rules amended

The rule amendments lower the dust-lead hazard standards (DLHS) and dust-lead clearance standards (DLCL) from 40 micrograms of per square foot (μg/ft2) to 10 μg/ft2 for floors, and from 250 μg/ft2 to 100 μg/ft2 for window sills.

This went into effect March 6, 2023.

Minnesota House File and Senate File 2 Update

HBA-FM and the Forx Builders Association sent a joint letter to area representatives Feb. 23, 2023, urging them to oppose these two bills as they stand.

Potential amendment ideas include decreasing the number of weeks an employee can be gone and an exemption for small businesses and seasonal employees.
