NDAB board meeting and summer social

In July, a few HBA members went to Williston, N.D., for the North Dakota Association of Builders' board meeting and summer social! In addition to other attendees from around North Dakota, they were joined by Carl Harris, 1st vice president of the National Association of Home Builders.

Building Industry Connect recap

Last week we were joined by Adam Martin, CEO and Founder of F5 Project to learn more about the impact they're having in our community. F5 assists people that are struggling with incarceration and addiction by providing resources for recovery, housing and employment. We also discussed ways we can collaborate to address our region's housing and workforce issues.

City of Fargo News

Adopts code requirements for radon control

Effective Sept. 1, 2023, all submitted plans for single family projects must show the location of the radon pipe. The radon pipe cannot be located in the exterior wall.

Seeking feedback for public/private partnership criteria

The Economic Development Incentives Committee will review the proposed criteria to the public incentives policy for major development and redevelopment at a special meeting, Aug. 15.
