Giving Hearts Day countdown to Feb. 8

On Giving Hearts Day 2023, members gave over $50,000 to support the Foundation's community building projects, scholarships and workforce-centered programming.
The first ever "Building the Future" Cup was awarded to the Builder Team, in a friendly builder v. Realtor competition.

Foundation explores ND Career Builders program
|
Your Foundation is diving into opportunities provided by the North Dakota State College of Science ND Career Builders. It is a scholarship program established by the 2019 Legislative Assembly under the Skilled Workforce Student Scholarship Program. If you are interested in being part of this through the Home Builders Care Foundation, please reach out to Bryce Johnson at (701) 232-5846.

Home Builders Care receives generous donations at Happy Hour
|
We were thrilled to raise a glass with the HBA of F-M and celebrate a successful Fall Parade of Homes Sept. 28 at HBA Happy Hour. During the Parade, the three Luxurious Featured Homes hosted by Benjamin Custom Homes, LLC, Designer Homes of Fargo-Moorhead and Radiant Homes raised $3,940! The check was presented to Home Builders Care Foundation by Ben Anderson, Benjamin Custom Homes, LLC, and Robert Leslie, Jr., Designer Homes of Fargo-Moorhead.
Home Builders Care Wine Ring Toss was also a success! Event host Floor to Ceiling Carpet One matched the funds raised at the booth for a grand total of $1,064.

Trustees visit college campuses

Home Builders Care trustees volunteered to visit North Dakota State College of Science, Minnesota State Community and Technical College - Moorhead and Minnesota State University Moorhead to present about the Foundation and the post-secondary scholarships available to students studying the construction field.

Home Builders Care 2023 post-secondary scholarship applications were due Nov. 10 for college students pursuing a degree in the building industry.
Scholarships will be presented Jan. 11 at the Home Builders Care of F-M Foundation/HBA of F-M office and recipients will be recognized Jan. 18 at the New Year Celebration.

Students had a clay-cation at the High Noon Shootout

On Sept. 18, students from North Dakota State University, North Dakota State College of Science and Minnesota State Community and Technical College networked with members at the High Noon Shootout.

Herdina Construction Trades Camp registration opens soon
|
The Herdina Construction Trades Camp will be June 3-7 and 10-14 at M State Moorhead campus. The camp introduces high school students, ages 15 and up, to a variety of specialty occupations within the construction industry. Cost is just $200 and three college credits are available.
Do you know of a great service project in the Fargo-Moorhead area for the students to build? Click here to read more on ideal project specifications/submit information to the camp's advisory committee. Proposals are due Jan. 25.

Health, Tech & Trades Career Expo

The Career Expo is designed to help ninth graders explore different career and education opportunities.
The Health, Tech and Trades Career Expo is set for Nov. 30 at the Fargodome.
Home Builders Care of F-M Foundation is a platinum plus sponsor and hosts an exhibit showcasing careers in construction, Home Builders Care scholarships and the Herdina Construction Trades Camp. The Foundation seeks volunteers to work at the exhibit Nov. 30 talking to students and/or helping them handle power tools. Click here to learn more.
