Hear from employment professionals Candice Ahmann, business development/managing partner and Matt Helander, managing director from Express Employment Professionals on how YOU can effectively hire and maintain good employees. 

Topics will include:

  • Working with the younger generation/retaining people with a competitive benefits plan. A special focus will be placed on the construction industry and small employers. 
  • Addressing challenges our members face: employees being in the "driver's seat" when job-hunting, sign-on bonuses and job hopping, plus benefits that appeal to today's workers in our industry.

More about our presenters:

Candice is a partner with Express Employment Professionals and has dedicated the last 14 years to the hiring and recruitment industry while helping businesses grow. She has passion for helping people and businesses succeed. Her experience also includes managing sales and leading team members within the organization. Candice primarily focuses on helping businesses with their administrative, light industrial and professional hires. As past chair of the HBA  Ambassadors, she continues to volunteer in the business community with the Home Builders Association, Chamber of Commerce, National Brain Tumor Society, and sits on the board of a local non-profit, Pray for Gray.

Matt has over 10 years’ experience providing businesses and candidates with a consultative approach when it comes to job searching and finding top level candidates. Prior to joining Express Employment Professionals, Matt spent over 7 years in the technology field where he found his niche – solving problems for his clients. Matt leads Express’ Professional Division, Specialized Recruiting Group, where he focuses on the placement of high-end candidates including information technology, engineering, architecture and construction management. Matt, a past volunteer of the HBA and "construction enthusiast" is always in pursuit of his next in-home projects.
