Gate City Bank promotes Kristin Hines

Fargo, N.D. – Gate City Bank has promoted to Kristin Hines to Vice President of Fraud Strategy and Risk Management. She joined the bank in September 2023, previously serving as Fraud Strategy Officer. Hines brings with her more than 25 years of experience in fraud prevention, loss mitigation and team leadership.

With a comprehensive understanding of the complexity of financial scams – including the ever-evolving tactics used in check fraud, account takeovers, scams and digital payment fraud – Hines will lead the team in proactively adapting strategies in response to emerging fraud trends.

Originally from St. Cloud, MN., Hines lives in New Richmond, Wis. She earned a bachelor’s degree in management and leadership from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN., and she holds the Certified Anti-Money Laundering and Fraud Professional (CAFP) designation.

Outside of work, Hines enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and volunteering in her community – especially as a supporter of her local fire department and with organizations that support families going through pregnancy loss.
